InOrbit is thrilled to join ARME’s groundbreaking endeavor, ARii (ARME Robotics Interoperability Initiative). As recently announced, this project, driven by the motto "Any robot. Any fleet manager. Fully integrated within any process," is set to make waves in the robotics industry. 🌊ARii aims to enhance interoperability among diverse robotic systems, addressing key challenges like standardizing map representations, managing multi-level maps, and defining traffic rules.
InOrbit CEO, Florian Pestoni, is leading the inaugural ARii working group, with the support of Eduardo Munera, Vice President at ARME. Florian brings his extensive interop expertise from previous initiatives and ongoing work every day at InOrbit to lead this group. Florian recently shared his vision on the value of forging a strong community within the industry.
“The robotics world has been fragmented for too long. Now there's another great initiative convened by ARME to help robots play nice with each other. In collaboration with leading AMR and AGV companies such as BlueBotics, Kollmorgen, SEER Robotics and others, we will be tackling some of the challenges that get in the way of multi-vendor robot deployments.
For starters, we're going to put all the robots on the same map. This is something InOrbit has been doing for a while; we call it robot orchestration. Working with this global initiative, we are going to make it universal in 2025.”
A Shared Vision
The Spanish Mobile Robotics Association (ARME) brings together the most innovative minds in mobile robotics to tackle the challenges of the future. With a network of over 35 members, 9 partners, and a presence in over 50 countries, they work together to create technological solutions that transform the industry and lead global advancement. They are dedicated to connecting manufacturers, integrators, and industry experts to promote technological innovation.
InOrbit and ARME are aligned in our shared vision of promoting technological innovation and improving efficiency in the robotics industry. By joining this initiative, we are committed to working together to create a truly interconnected world and expand the robotics ecosystem
Setting ARii apart, the group will not create more protocols. Instead, they will define the steps, processes, and tools necessary to address the challenges of robot deployment and integration. A notion reflected in effective RobOps, a central part of InOrbit’s DNA. At InOrbit we have always been committed to interoperability, by driving industry-recognized multi-vehicle orchestration efforts. Explore some of our work in this new video for further insights into our approach to these upcoming collaborative conversations.
Stay tuned for more from InOrbit and the ARii as we continue to work towards a truly interconnected robotics ecosystem!
